North Shore Animal League America encourages everyone to consider "Who will care for my pet(s) if something should happen to me?" We suggest that in planning for your family's future, your will or trust should include arrangements for your companion animals. Of course family and friends who are available to provide a new, responsible, loving home for your animals are a wonderful option and resources can be provided in pet trusts or bequests for those willing to become new caregivers.
For our supporters who do not have another option, Animal League America's Safe Haven Surviving Pet Care Program may be an alternative. While space is limited, we take great pride in being able to care for your canine and feline family members should the need arise.
Our mission to rescue, nurture, adopt and educate takes on many forms around the nation and we are the largest no-kill adoption organization in the world. As you can imagine, it takes significant resources to care for the thousands of animals that we rescue annually. Therefore, we ask that in exchange for lifetime care for your pet, you make a significant gift to help fund the care of your animals as well as the countless other homeless animals in our care.
