In Chris's role as a volunteer at — he knows how vital it is to provide for all the animals in our care each and every day. Chris had been a supporter for many years when he became a volunteer after he retired from his career as a high school and college English instructor. Besides his first joy of providing organ music wherever his services are required, volunteering filled a great void and he realized he had a great passion for the mission at North Shore —.
As he learned more about the wonderful stories created here daily, he decided that he would leave a portion of his estate to help — remain the largest no-kill rescue and adoption center in the world. He wanted to help guarantee that the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens that arrive here from rescue efforts across the nation are given the medical care and special attention they deserve until they are adopted into loving homes.
In his words, "I can't imagine a more noble use of our money when we join the dogs and cats we've loved so much in this life."
